Minimal Incision Total Knee Replacement

Minimal Incision TKA Animation

The surgical incision is only 3.5 to 5 inches*—less than half the size of a normal incision—yet the same reliable implants are used. Smaller incision size means less muscle is cut. Therefore, postoperative pain, recovery time, and scarring should be substantially improved.

*Incision size is influenced by a patient's weight, bone size, and severity of arthritis.
